1973-1984奔馳歲月精選　

此套盒裝典藏版中的每一張專輯都由榮獲7座葛萊美獎，生涯參與過Led Zeppelin，The Rolling Stones，The Who，Nirvana，Daft Punk…等樂團超過3000張專輯，同時也擔任Bruce Springsteen專輯的母帶製作工作長達30年的錄音名將Bob Ludwig協同Bruce Springsteen長期合作的錄音師Toby Scott採用了當今類比母帶轉換為數位化的最佳處理方式—「Plangent Process錄放系統」進行母帶重製，兩人透過這種結合先進的現代化類比電子裝置與獨特的數位訊號處理技術的錄放系統，將既有的聲音波形重新進行一致化，在錄音磁帶的機械裝置改變時間之前，將聲音波形回歸至原始的樣貌，Bob Ludwig表示：「Plangent Process錄放系統為錄音作品帶來了全新的寬廣度，它以一種我未曾體驗過的全新方式與我產生情感上的連結。」

幾年前，Bruce Springsteen聽過了以「Plangent Process錄放系統」進行母帶重製技術製作測試錄製的1978年專輯「Darkness On The Edge Of The Town」的成品後，加速了他以同樣的母帶重製技術製作生涯的首七張專輯的計劃，這七張專輯中的兩張專輯「Born To Run」，「Darkness On The Edge Of The Town」雖然分別在2005年，2010年發行過母帶重製版本，不過，在此套盒裝彙整發行中仍然進行了當時尚未發明的「Plangent Process錄放系統」的製作處理。

七張專輯包括：問鼎個人首張全美流行專輯榜冠軍，同時也以專輯中的單曲”Hungry Heart”寫下個人首支全美熱門單曲榜TOP 10，記錄美國70年代後期經濟衰退時期狀況的1980年專輯「The River」；全球熱賣3000萬張，連推”Dancing In The Dark”、”Cover Me”、”Born In The U.S.A.”、”I’m On Fire”、”Glory Days”、
“I’m Goin’ Down”、”My Hometown”等7首全美熱門單曲榜TOP 10暢銷曲，掀起描寫美國藍領工人生活的美國Heartland搖滾風潮的1984年冠軍專輯「Born In The U.S.A.」；收錄招牌作”Born To Run”、”Thunder Road”等歌曲，描寫紐澤西與紐約青少年成長情景的1975年全美流行專輯榜第3名專輯「Born To Run」；以美國藍領工人面對生活的挑戰，還有局外人，罪犯，殺人犯對未來不抱任何希望的心理為探討主題的1982年全美流行專輯榜第3名專輯「Nebraska」；allmusic音樂網站描述為以硬式搖滾風格呈現藍領工人困境，收錄有招牌作”Badlands”的1978年全美流行專輯榜第5名專輯「Darkness On The Edge Of The Town」。此外，發行於1973年的兩張專輯「Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.」與「The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle」更是首度經由母帶重製製作技術發行。

七張專輯中的「Born To Run」（#18），「Born In The U.S.A.」（#86），「The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle」（#133），「Darkness On The Edge Of The Town」（#150），「Nebraska」（#226），「The River」（#253），等專輯都是入選滾石雜誌2012年版的「史上500張最偉大專輯名單」的作品。
