◎特別收錄五首從未發行過的樂曲

「典藏廳爵士樂團」(The Preservation)的成立，最初是由一位叫作Larry Borenstein藝術經紀人在費城提供了「典藏廳」(Preservation Hall)場所給爵士團體，進行規律的演出，在這裡可以聽到紐奧良的非洲爵士音樂，也因此有了「典藏廳爵士樂團」稱號。從此一後，樂團巡演到過全世界各地，直到1977年，樂團在小號手Percy Humphrey 以及低音號手Allan Jaffe的帶領下，為當時的哥倫比亞唱片公司錄製了第一張唱片，與哥倫比亞的合作直至Allan Jaffe在1987年過世後才終止。

多年以來，樂團不僅保存了紐奧良音樂的傳統更拓展了樂團的多樣性，從1993年Ben Jaffe接掌管理樂團之後，開始與許多著名的音樂家合作諸如:Pete Seeger、Ani Defrance、Jim James、Andrew Bird, Tom Waits, Steve Earle, Angelique Kidjo等等。開創了另一種新的視野與局面。

這套4CD的套裝包含58首樂曲，追朔至1962年Nesuhi Ertegun 首次在「典藏廳」所錄製的樂曲至2010年與眾多樂手如: Richie Havens, Tom Waits, Pete Seeger and Del McCoury的合作。套裝更珍貴地包含了五首從未發行過的演出，硬紙盒復古包裝，更值得收藏。
