葛倫米勒出生於一九零四年，成長於柯羅拉多州，二十歲時加入爵士樂團，三七年創立自己的大樂團，並於同年灌錄第一張唱片，隨後就與RCA唱片公司簽約，在Bluebird品牌發行專輯直至1944年，以美國空軍少校的身分，在從英國飛往法國的途中神秘消失了，再也尋獲不著。很難想像在那個年代，葛倫的每幾個星期就發行新專輯，而且幾乎張張都在排行榜的前10名，甚至在1942年，葛倫米勒的【Chattanooga Choo Choo】專輯為Bluebird旗下拿下第一張百萬銷售量的成績，更是開啟了他個人生涯八張百萬銷售紀錄的第一張! 這三張一套的葛倫米勒讓人重溫當時的榮景盛況!
